Project 12: Audio

This audio project got us students more familiarized with the software Garage Band. By incorporating our last project of our stop motion video we added sounds to make it a more cohesive video. I had a lot of fun playing around with the various sounds offered in the program and I thought it was extremely easy to use.

Project 11: Animation

We were able to take 60-90 photos of any activity that we wanted to create a stop-and-go animation. The video had to be at least a 45 second minimum, using three photos per second to make the frame by frame transitions more smoothly. I decided to do an animation on making a pizza from scratch. I did way over the required number of photos but it was worth it because the finished animation looks really cool and it tasted good too!

Project 10: MorphX

Using inspiration from Irina Wernin, we were told to create a short morphX animation of ourself in two period of our life. By using a childhood image and a recent image of myself now, I created my video from a child to adult through animation on Photoshop.

Project 9: Art Project

Image
We were asked to find one of our favorite painted portrait or a famous photograph and coming the image with our own face. I decided one the great Marilyn Monroe for inspiration.

Project 8: Somewhere

Image
Through Photoshop we were asked to place ourselves in an environment that we had never been in before. I have always wanted to go to Paris, so that's where I went in my photo. I was able to make it look like I had actually been there through the cropping tool and creating a shadow below me.

Project 7: Autoscopy

Image
This project began our introduction to Photoshop. We were asking to select 8 photos and get a feel for how use the layer effects and Photoshop filters work.  I wanted to see how extreme I could get my photos to look and made them really abstract with various colors.

Project 6: Poster

Image
Through getting inspiration in class, we had to create an image that we found and turn that image into a poster by enhancing our automatic tracing tools in the program Adobe Illustrator.

Project 5: Gradient Mesh

Image
For this project we had to choose a fruit or vegetable to recreate using Adobe Illustrator. I selected an orange to recreate using vector shapes and gradient mesh to make the fruit look very life-like.

Project 4: Business Cards

Image
I chose to make business cards for a dance studio and a bakery that specializes in cupcakes. I have always been passionate about dance so the business card logo I created could actually be a reality. When I was younger, I always wanted to open up my own bakery so it was really fun working on this assignment overall because I was able to get really creative.

Project 3: Logos

Image
We had to create logos for a business we would one day promote. I made a dance company logo and a cupcake bakery logo because these are two things I am passionate about.

Project 2: Calligram

Image
A calligram is when you replace the lines in a picture with words. I chose to use a line drawing of Hello Kitty and replace the lines with a dance poem. I used a dance poem because it was a drawing of Hello Kitty as a ballerina.

Project 1: Canvas

Image
Through the program Dreamweaver we were able to create a picture with simple shapes. By using html code I was able to move, reshape, and add different colors to create the image I wanted. I decided to go with a beach theme and create a background with palm trees and sea animals.
